Rainbow Edition stripping knife set of 4 – Double Coarse, Coarse, Medium, Fine
Our RAINBOW EDITION was popular for many years, now we added Double Coarse teeth and made a set suitable for all softer coats, mixed coats or heavy, thick coats like Norwich or Norfolk Terriers.
Slant teeth are very good for grabbing softer coats or mixed coats with a lot of undercoat; they are ideal for blending and for a full strip down to the undercoat. Slant teeth are more effective, but also sharper than our straight teeth in classic. They need to carry a certain bite to fight mixed coats, so they are not very suitable for very harsh crispy coats – or must be handled with care. We pre dull them and take a lot of sharpness away, but the edges has to be sharp enough to go through softer parts.
- The Single Coarse is a good roller
- The Double Coarse is perfect for flat work and rolling in more than 3 layers
- The Fine is very good carding knife
- The Medium is universal for pulling and carding
All are hand-dulled, but they need to have some bite for thick coats. Please be aware that you can damage hair by using the wrong technique.
We recommend the Classic Edition for very harsh, crispy coats with minimal undercoat, where you need to be careful not to break the coat.
