RETRO Edition – Stripping knife – Double Coarse (Right hand only)

1989 one of the founders of Groomer.dk had an old home made knife, she actually adored and lost somewhere. It looked like several she met on the way, but it never had the same function. She wanted her old knife back and now on the journey developing striping knives, she decided to get back the very old one – in wood handle, comfortable and functional.

The knife looks like back in the 80ies, it is kinda Retro and therefor it carries a name: RETRO EDITION.

This here is the newest addition to the Retro family. The double coarse does nearly everything: rolling a coat, pulling it all down or something in between. Brilliant on tight flatwork, too. For carding (removing undercoat) we would still advise to use either the Carding knife from the Diamond Edition or the Retro FINE.

For now they are only available for RIGHT hand.

Description

This knife is the newest addition to the classic Retro Edition. It looks and feels like some tools which were available in the 80ies, so it is kind of Retro and therefor it carries a name: RETRO EDITION.

It is one of the “allrounder” stripping knives: suitable for a lot of coat types and the go-to when not sure.

You asked, we listened. This is an “all in one knife”: either for rolling a coat or for taking it all off, but it works a treat on tight flatwork, too. If you only want one stripping knife to start with, then this is it. This knife makes coat rolling so easy, so everybody can jump into this technique..
