This comb is ideal for removing undercoat on silky haired Spaniels and Setters. It can also be used on Terriers.

When combing through the hair use the same technique as with carding. Hold the skin tight and then comb through the hair with the grain. The comb should lay parallel to the dog’s skin – the pins should not touch the dog. It will drag slightly as then the bands hold and collect the hair.

We suggest to clean it with an UV steriliser if you are going to use it on multiple dogs from different households (e.g. in a grooming salon). The hair does not have to be meticulously removed every time and when you do, please do not pull the bands out.
