“Do not use a rake, because this will cut” is what is repeated often, because they did and most of them still do! Not until Groomer dk invented their special method of dulling all their tools, inclusing this new addition to the TwinKing family! This extra fine rake offers more blades: 20 on one side and 40 on the other, extra fine side.
The extra fine can do something else: it’s ideal for coat like 4-5cm length and shorter: softer, silky coat and all the very short, soft and sometimes tricky to remove undercoat hair on wire haired breeds like Dachshunds, Border Terriers and comparable coat types which you can find in all types and sizes of dogs: Pugs, Rottweilers or smooth Terriers.
It is also great for coat restoration of a previously clipped coat. The hooks select through soft hair and grab the finest without cutting the hard, it will remove overgrown undercoat, puppy coat, destroyed coat, coat after spaying/neutering.
Perfect for:
- puppies with softer coats
- Setters, Spaniels, all double coated silk coats
- all double coated breeds with softer cover coat – like Golden Retriever
- deshedding breeds with dense, flat coats – harsh or not (e.g. Pugs, French Bulldogs, Rottweilers)
- cats with longer coats
- all Terriers and Schnauzers with length of coat over 3cm – best for preparation before pulling
- horses – especially to clean after winter
Cleaning: please use hot soap water and a brush (like toothbrush) to clean between the blades and the handle.
