Description

A blunt tool that won’t cut your dog’s coat

The Twin King 2in1 Pro rake (small) is the professional, steel-handled version of our famous undercoat rake, ideal for smaller breeds and detail work. It has a steel handle instead of plastic. You can wipe it down or disinfect it quickly between dogs, which makes it perfect for salon use.

Design and size

This rake has two rows of teeth. They sit slightly wider apart than the plastic-handled model, at approximately 3mm and 6mm. The tool stays light at around 112 grams, so you can hold and control it comfortably during long sessions.

Why it doesn’t cut

Most rakes on the market are sharp. Ours isn’t. We hand-dull every blade using a special process instead of sharpening it. This means the tool lifts and removes loose, dead undercoat without slicing through healthy topcoat. Your dog’s coat texture and length stay exactly as they should.

Best breeds for this size

The Twin King 2in1 Small suits smaller breeds and detail work especially well. Think Dachshunds, Border Terriers, and Corgis, where a bulkier tool would feel awkward around ears and legs. It also works brilliantly on wire-coated, silky-coated and double-coated breeds of any size. Westies, Cairn Terriers, Norwich Terriers, Wire Fox Terriers, and Schnauzers all respond well to it. So do Golden Retrievers, Wirehaired Vizslas, Wirehaired Pointers, and hand-stripped silky-coated Spaniels.

How to use it

Hold the skin taut. Work in the direction of hair growth using light, even pressure. The wider teeth catch the bulk of loose undercoat first. A second pass smooths and finishes the coat. Because the blades won’t cut, you can work confidently around sensitive areas like the legs, belly, and face.

Many groomers keep the Twin King 2in1 on their table permanently. It replaces several sharper, riskier tools they used before.
