When the founders of Groomer.dk started grooming their very first miniature schnauzer in 1989, they had an old home made knife, they actually adored and lost somewhere. It looked like several they met on the way, but it never had the same function. They wanted the old knife back and now on the journey developing striping knives, they decided to get back the very old one – in wood handle, comfort and function.

This knife looks and feels kind of Retro and therefor it carries a name: RETRO EDITION.

The Medium COARSE is really great to roll a coat. Takes some hair, but not too much in one go. Of course you could use it to strip down, but this would be more work and that’s what the Retro fine is there for.
Medium coarse is ideal for Westies, Cairns, Airedales and all those breeds with a lot of coat to work with. The fine is great for Miniature Schnauzers, Cockers, Afghans etc, where precision is needed. But you will use them both more or less.

This stripping knife looks and feels like back in late 80ties, the knife is kind of Retro and therefore it carries a name: RETRO EDITION.

Groomer.dk developed FINE, Medium COARSE and EXTRA COARSE and they work miracles! They remove undercoat to the last hair, dulled to avoid any cutting, they have great grip on the coat while pulling and they fit in your hand so easily. Working with them is a real pleasure and you will never stop using them.

The Medium COARSE works terrific for rolling a coat. I enjoyed it on Westies, Cairns, Norfolk, Airedales, Wire Fox Terriers – actually all breeds with a lot of coat to work with. But you will use the whole edition more or less depending on the area you work on.
